I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: “Here’s another reason to move to Windham, NH!”
This was Windham High School’s first year hosting the 4th of July Fireworks display. What an awesome event! In the past we watched the fireworks show on Cobbetts Pond, which was beautiful, but this year we got to enjoy them at our beautiful new high school. Thank you to the Cobbetts Pond Improvement Association, Windham Recreation, Windham Police, Windham Fire, and our school district! It was a great setting for our town fireworks. The band “The Reminsants” were belting out some great oldies including my favorite Elvis Presley songs. Thank you to Centrix Bank for co-sponsoring the band. What’s a celebration without some good tunes?
The fireworks began just after dark, and the display was fantastic! There were about 1,000 people at the High School, and we had so much fun. People met up with friends, chatting, listening to music, and then of course the fireworks display.
The town had all kinds of fun stuff going on on July 3rd. They had Town Day at Griffin Park with bouncy houses, food, field games for the whole family to participate in and a DJ to complete the event.
Can’t wait for next year….Will you be there?
