So much happened in 2012 at Prudential Verani Realty that it would be impossible to summarize the plethora of stories in one blog post. This was a great year for the business, for it’s staff and agents, and for the communities in which Verani agents do business. At Verani it’s not just about selling houses. It’s about making sure New Hampshire and the surrounding area remains the best place to live in the country! Here are a few of the biggest stories to recap a very busy year at Verani:
1. The Norwood Group | Real Living Merges with Prudential Verani Realty
OCTOBER – In what was most likely the biggest business-side story for Verani in 2012, the residential services branch of The Norwood Group joined forces with the Verani family. After decades of competition in New Hampshire the two joined forces in light of a parent-company purchase. After Brookfield (who already owned Real Living) purchased Prudential Real Estate, the presidents of both companies agreed that a partnership was the most natural course of action. The original story can be found here.
2. Prudential Verani, Bedford Launches “12 Days of Giving” Campaign
DECEMBER – In an effort to raise the seasonal spirit, Regional Manager Ed Buczynski of Bedford organized a 12-day giving campaign with what he calls his “Pru Crew.” The Pru Crew (Bedford-based agents and Verani partners) went to various locations throughout the Bedford and Manchester area and randomly gave away gifts to unsuspecting people. For videos of all of the 12 days of giving, visit the Verani Youtube Channel.
3. Team Walther Ranks #118 in the U.S. for Closed Transactions
JULY – This summer one of the most successful real estate teams in the state was named #118 in the United States by the Wall Street Journal and Real Trends. Bob and Peg were honored as part of the WSJ & Real Trends’ “Top 1,000″ list, which ranks 250 agents/teams in 4 different disciplines. They were ranked #118 in the bracket for “closed transactions.” Bob and Peg are still regulars on the monthly and quarterly awards charts within the Prudential Verani organization. 4. 2012 Verani Coat Drive Collects Over 3,000 Coats (and counting)
NOVEMBER – We’ve covered this one extensively on the blog, facebook, twitter, and Google+. Verani agents, staff, and supporting organizations throughout New Hampshire made the Verani Coat Drive a very successful campaign in 2012. With today marking the official close of the drive for 2012, the final coat count could reach as high as 4,000 after all the dust clears and coats are counted. The newest addition to the drive in 2012 was the web site, found here.
5. Prudential Verani Realty Ranks Top-200 Nationally in 2 Real Trends Categories
APRIL – It was announced early in the year that Verani was ranked #190 in closed transactions, and #199 in sales volume in the United States. This announcement came from Real Trends, which ranks the top 500 real estate agencies in the country every year.
6. Verani Realty Hosts BE THE MATCH Drives in Two Offices
SEPTEMBER – Inspired by Londonderry agent, Bob Ramalho‘s story Verani opened it’s doors the BE THE MATCH for two bone marrow registration drives. Bob was selected by the organization as an eligible donor, and in November underwent surgery to donate marrow to someone in need of his help. Prior to his surgery the Prudential Verani, Londonderry and Portsmouth offices held registration drives which brought people in to register for the BE THE MATCH program.
7. Verani & New Hampshire Partner in “Return to Work” Program
FEBRUARY – Early in 2012 Verani Realty’s relocation department found itself hunting for a candidate to fill an open position. In it’s search, it found New Hampshire’s “Return to Work” program. Through it’s partnership with the program it hired Lisa Eaton, who is now Customer Account Manager in the corporate headquarters.
