The Milford Recreation Department has been busy making things happen! Their activity schedules are packed full of ideas and activities for everyone in your family.

  • Summer Recreation Guide: Full of swimming and tennis lessons, day camps and adult fitness classes. Their camp offerings include Dance Camp, British Soccer Camp, Drama Camp, Archery and Lego Robotics Camp. Adult fitness classes include a Tennis League, Zumba, Boot Camp and Guided Hikes.
  • Kids Carnival: This Saturday, August 11th bring the kids down to enjoy the Kids Carnival, a special fundraiser to help support the new Kaley Park in East Milford.
  • Summer Concert Series: Join in the Milford tradition of enjoying a relaxing evening of music in Emerson Park every Wednesday evening now through the end of August.
  • 3rd Annual Park-2-Park 5K and 1K Kids Fun Run: Sunday, September 23 is the 3rd Annual Park-2-Park 5K and 1K Kids Fun Run, another fundraiser for Kaley Park in East, Milford. This race takes you through quiet Milford neighborhoods and across the Souhegan River on Milford’s famous suspension bridge, the Swinging Bridge (appropriately named).
  • New York City Holiday Sightseeing Tour: Numerous bus trips are planned throughout the year at the Milford Rec Dept. This November you can join in on a traditional favorite – the New York City Holiday Sightseeing Tour! Planned just before Thanksgiving, it’s a wonderful way to see the city and leave the driving to someone else. Boarding at 6:00am on November 17th the bus will leave Milford at 6:30am and head for the Big Apple, the heart of Manhattan! While there, you’re on your own to explore Fifth Avenue, Rockefeller Center, Chinatown, Chelsea, the Brooklyn Bridge, and the list goes on. The bus departs NYC at 6:30pm and away you go, back home, tired, loaded down with bagels and pastrami and ready to watch a movie, have a little happy hour or fall asleep.

There is a plethora of activities this Summer & Fall for you to take advantage of. They’re all neatly packaged in one place, so get out there and enjoy!
