Feb. 4th, 2012 Pawtuckaway Lake –
Tee Times 8 am to Noon
Jay Swymer, the founder of Freds Fund.org, a non profit 501 C3, has taken over the organization and management of the Pawtuckaway Ice Golf Event for 2012! His story of his son’s passing and his subsequent creation of this charity is best told on this article in the NH Chronicle.
All proceeds collected go to the Pediatric Care division of Friends of Dartmouth Childrens Hospital (CHaD). Sign up now to play! Just go to FredsFund.org to book a tee time (on the right-hand column).
Jay has asked me to help with sponsorships for the event, with all proceeds going to the charity. Last tournament, we raised over $4000 for Families In Transition! We offer sponsors signage at each tee and green on the course, advertising handouts to all the players, and inclusion of the sponsors’ names in all pre and post promotions on the website! These can be corporate or family sponsorships! We are asking $150 from each sponsor for the advertising package. Call Tom Duffy at (603) 303 – 3039 or email tom.duffy@verani.com with your intention of sponsorship or more details.

Pawtuckaway Ice Golf
Saturday, Feb 4, is the 19th Annual Pawtuckaway Open Ice Golf Tournament and Chili Competition.
“Ice Golf” is a very casual tournament for all skill levels. I can say that “skill” isn’t really a word that applies at all. Players whack the ball around a shortened course, laid out on the ice and snow along the southeast shore of Pawtuckaway Lake. Depending on the particular conditions, a golf shot may dig into a snowbank 20 yards from the tee, or go skidding across the ice all the way to the hole. It’s a lot of fun. And you don’t have to play golf to enjoy the day. Many attend just to watch, or simply to taste, and judge, the vast array of chili on hand at The Chili Cook Off Competition
Bring your own beverages. There will be a warm bonfire, a few grills, and it’s New Hampshire style winter fest! Tee Off times are from 8:00am to noon. Book your time now at FredsFund.org!
In past years there have been as many as 100 people, players and eaters, at the event. This year is shaping up to be as big as ever.
Tee times are from 8:00 am to Noon, and the chili and bonfire go on all day.
Tickets for Greens Fees and Chili lunch are $20. Interested in sponsoring a hole? Call Tom Duffy at (603) 303 – 3039 or email tom.duffy@verani.com.
Check out www.pawtuckicegolf.com for more pictures and history. Prizes for Best Chili, Closest to the Pin, Longest Drive (by ball) ,Longest Drive (by car), Low score and High Score – both men’s and women.
