The Windham, NH annual Tree Lighting will be held on Saturday December 11th from 3:00 to 5:00 pm At the Town Commons.
The tree lighting has been tradition in Windham, New Hampshire for over 40 years. This is the beginning of the season for many families in town, including mine!
With the sad loss of the Pine Tree Known as Martha Washington 2 years ago located in front of the old Library building, we have continued the tradition by using the trees on the Common for the lighting. Santa will be riding in on the fire truck to music from the Salem High School Band. He will be available for photos in the Town Hall. The Windham Community Band will perform seasonal music, they are known throughout Southern New Hampshire. The Middle school chorus will sing carols. There will be hot cocoa and cookies, new this year is crafts in the town hall as well.
The Lions club will be conducting a children’ s eye screenings in the community development office for children form 6 months to 5 years.Come to this old fashioned Christmas event and start your holiday season with your community.
